Topaz remask 4 tutorial12/17/2023 ![]() Regardless as to what programme you use James, you will still end up with whats know as green spill. I know that there are no magic pills (one button extractions), but it never hurts to ask (or dream). It sort of makes sense in my old brain that if you are planning on doing an extraction *BEFORE* you shoot the image, why not make it as easy as possible, and if that means a green screen, then why not? If it is no easier, then so be it. I have always kept it for "just in case" moments. I have never considered using a Green Screen before, although I have had one forever that came with a video editing software that I bought many years ago. I guess I was wondering whether these programs are any easier to use than just a combination of ReMask and PS CC. I found a few, and was wondering what the general consensus was on any of these: I was just wondering if ReMask worked well (or better/easier) with a chroma key type of background than with a standard white or black background, or if there were any "automatic" programs out there that were easy to use. I also use the "Patsy Murphy" technique which was referenced in the link given by Pictus. I am fairly proficient in ReMask, and have used it for many years. I guess I should have been more clear in my original post, sorry about that. I found some of the glow effects work well on metallic surfaces, but as with any artistic treatments, it's very personal. As with the other Topaz plugins, not all images will benefit from using this technique, but if you want to experiment with your images, you may find this plugin useful for some artistic renditions. When applied gently, some of the presets can enhance and improve an image in a nice way. Most of the presets are quite surreal, but not all of them are "glowing". This program produces "electric" outlines and other luminescent contour effects. Topaz Labs has released this month a new plugin called Glow. ![]() Topaz Clarity and enter "octclarity" as the coupon code to get the 25% discount.Ī short review with example images processed by this plugin has been posted on my blog at: To download a free trial version or to purchase it, use the following link: The program is offered till Octoat 25% off which comes to $37.50 (regularly listed at $49.99). I have used it routinely for several months now (applying just a few of their basic presets), and successfully submitted quite a few images processed this way. The effect is somewhat similar to NIK's Tonal Contrast preset in their Color Efex Pro plugin, but Topaz Clarity has many more options, and it seems to be doing better job, when it comes to halos and noise. Not to be confused with LR and Camera Raw clarity slider, this plugin is useful for increase of image’s levels of micro, midrange, and overall contrast. The latest Topaz program on sale is their Clarity plugin. ![]() To purchase it at the reduced price, enter "julyremask" as the discount code at checkout. I just posted a short description of this program with a couple of examples on my blogsite: If you are already using presently Remask 3, you can upgrade it for free to Remask 4. I don't know how it would compare to the latest Photoshop CC 2014. Compared to the Photoshop CS5 which I'm using, the new Remask program is easier to use and it handles even tricky isolations very well. The new version is more streamlined and more precise in creation of complex masks than the previous Remask versions. If you need to make some isolations, you might want to look at this nifty program. Topaz Labs just released a new version of their masking plugin - Remask 4.
